And, yes Ian, maybe you just want to launch a task with a temporary volume 
(e.g. on an SSD) that will be mounted in the container at a set container_path 
(e.g. /scratch). That volume would not be persisted, and would not have a 
persistence_id, so it is just a 'disk' resource.
