Actually I'm not familiar with the Metamodel base code, so if anyone
already has an hint of where the problem can be, it would be really helpful.

It seems (at least to me) that it is a major issue, as it block a
very basic and old SQL feature (ORDER BY).
It would be better to have it resolved with the new release, of
course. Thus, I would wait a bit...
