@JonZeolla , interesting. That would be equivalent to gawk version 3.1.5
or 3.1.6. I see now that my updated awk is from a homebrew installation.
Would you be willing to update awk? If you already use homebrew, all you
have to say is `brew install gawk`
If you don't yet use homebrew, that's a single-line install too.
