Technically, we had two versions of the dashboard. Maybe the "legacy"
dashboard deployed via Ansible using elasticdump was always working, but the
map on the dashboard deployed via the MPack had been broken prior to Dave's
work on this PR. Just a guess. I would like to know the "why" too.
