Sounds great!  Maven is a great tool in general though it has several subtle
issues.

We usually use the directory structure that Maven team suggests officially,
that is, the default settings.  I think we didn't do any magic on our POMs,
so looking into our POMs might help you.  Additionally, you could refer to
