Is it possible to import example directory as it is in Eclipse and able
execute run programs. I am able to compile and run most of the programs but
it's not clear what should be input and what is expected output.

Assuming you are using Maven 2, please run 'mvn eclipse:eclipse', then it
will generate Eclipse project files for each examples. Please import the
projects into your Eclipse workbench, and run them there.
Any additional error messages could help us to find out what's wrong
though.
