setting the direct buffer although this topic was mentioned several times in

It seems like you didn't read related thread yet.

MINA 1.0.x allocated direct buffers by default.  You need to change
this setting to gain more performance.  Please insert the following
code in the beginning of the entry point of your application.

ByteBuffer.setUseDirectBuffers(false);
ByteBuffer.setAllocator(new SimpleByteBufferAllocator());

All committers including me are quite busy these days, so please
forgive us for the tutorials being delayed.
