We will ship 2.0.0-M1 before 2.0.0-RC1. Please refer to our version
numbering scheme:

of course. I meant 2.0.0-M1

http://mina.apache.org/downloads.html

For now, we don't have definite release date for 2.0.0-M1 yet because
there are several issues that might affect the new API, such as
Selector pooling, I/O processor allocation policy, and reconnection
policy. We could introduce each change per each milestone release
though.

I think that would be great.
We're in the process of upgrading to mina-2.0 but since there is no M1
release yet,
I had to build from the trunk and I committed
mina-core-2.0.0-M20060327.jarinto our subversion repo.
Not a big problem of course, but it would be nice to have a milestone
release.
