I'm of the opinion that IoHandler should remain as is and DemuxingIoHandler
solves the typing problem. I think we should resolve this issue as "Won't Fix".
However, I do like Niklas' suggestion for Exception handling. I think it would
be nice to have such a feature in DemuxingIoHandler.
