I wrote a new ProtocolCodecFactory... very similar to TextLineCodecFactory...
the constructor became like this:
public RtuTextCodecFactory( Charset charset )
{
encoder = new TextLineEncoder( charset, new LineDelimiter("\r"));
decoder = new TextLineDecoder( charset, new LineDelimiter("\r") );
}
and its working now...
