I think it would be a great idea. As network protocols become increasingly more difficult and the time developers are given to complete projects decreases, this could be a great asset to the MINA program.

I'd like to know what people including committers think about the project. If the community's response is positive, we could bring the project into our sandbox and merge it into trunk when it's ready.
