I'm in constant touch with the Felix community as well, and maven-bundle-plugin works great.
I use it constantly and had no strong issues whatsoever. That is why I ask. Also, the plugin works and was implemented for OSGi standards and no Felix extensions. So maybe something was not right when MINA tried to bundle the project?
