According to the JBoss Microcontainer team, it already supports what Spring
supports - nested properties, in somewhat inconvenient way. I filed a JIRA
issue to improve the verbosity of the beans XML file:

Considering the flexibility of JBoss Microcontainer and our Spring friendly
API. this issue should be marked as 'fixed'.
