waiting for a use case where it's important to get an unordered list.
When you have a very looong list of unordered files names that doesn't
come from a relational database and you don't want load all in memory
and sort them.
Dave just summuraize pretty well how common sense it is to have this
method returning an ordered list.
I see that is a common sense returns ordered list, but even if it is
common sense should not be compulsory.
Is common sense to greet friends when you met they but there is not a
law saying that.
Javadoc of the interface is a contract between the interface designer an
the class implementor. The contract should require only what is
compulsory, and may suggest what is optional but appreciated.
