Jiri, could you please describe your use case? Or, let me put it this way, I'm not sure what the patch allows you to do :-) As for the NioListener, it is to be regarded as an internal class (as pointed out in the Javadoc) so extending it might mean frequent breaking changes, beware. /niklas
