It's always a PITA to debug an application with some filters, as we have no
idea what's going on internally. What would be very helpful is to have a log
trace containing the session ID for each method of each filter we have.
Currently, if we except the LoggingFilter, we have nothing, nada, rien...

Seriously, you are right, but having experienced some kind of AOP in
Directory, I would not use it again even if someone pays me :)
AOP : good ideas, crappy implementation + lots of complexity for just
logging...
