I can only comment on the PubSub-part of Vysper with certainty: It is compliant to the spec and quite good tested (excluding real world tests). It is missing many features (recommended and optional ones) - see [1] for more. Unfortunately for the time being, it'll remain that way for the next few months. At least from my side. Whether or not Vysper is ready for a 0.x release is up to Bernd. From my work with it (meaning the "extension-developer" side), I'd give it a thumbs-up, because very I've had very vew problems programming my extension against it.
