Fix Version/s: 1.1.0
Yeay, this has come up before. We should probably change the schema to allow
strings in all attributes. This will of course make the validation weaker, but
since using property placeholders is common, it is probably worthwhile. I don't
think we should do this in 1.0.x, so I'm putting it in 1.1.0.
