this is to be expected. > when i click connect anyway it occurs error > message telling "there was an error communicating with the > server,Details,Authentication error:unable to login" Please double check account name and password: [email protected] password1 Please note that this is all lowercase and user and password contain the ciffer One (1), not the lowercase letter L (l) which might look identical in some charsets. If you still have problems please post the server log (as you did before) starting after "vysper server is running (using spring framework)..." > in the cmd.exe > it is printed encryption stated and then encrypted. > and then some other things. > So what should i do now? Please also note that for GSoC we will expect that you are able to work out small problems on your own to a certain degree. This includes reading and interpreting log files, trying to solve problems by googeling and reading specifications, having basic knowledge in using a Java IDE like Eclipse, knowing how to go into debug mode in an IDE, know what a breakpoint is. Going into details with all of this stuff here is beyond the scope of this mailing list. Bernd
