True. I have closed FTPSERVER-282 stating it is a duplicate. I hope that's ok.
It seems that the guys at camel have solved this issue with their own
component: http://camel.apache.org/using-propertyplaceholder.html
The second option, as Niklas says is to modify the XSD(since I don't think
https://jira.spring.io/browse/SPR-4466 is going to be addressed any time soon)
so we can support Strings in those properties; we might add a regex restriction
to improvw validation, but I would rather try to resolve properties earlier...
