Actually, I think you can stay with MINA 2.0.17. The fix (and breakages) I
introduced in 2.0.18 should not matter too much.
I'll update the web site about this breakage, start a fork (2.1) and produce a
2.0.19 without the {{event}} method and with the {{SSLFilter.SECURED}} message
(basically, reverting the changes that caused the breakages).
