FYI, propagating custom messages through SCP is much more complex due to the
nature of the protocol. This adds to my reluctance to make the necessary code
changes that would provide such a feature since it would make what is already a
rather complex code and complicate it even further. I am sure that for you it
is an important feature, but AFAIK it is considered rather esoteric by the rest
of the users - thus the cost might not justify the effort. I am not closing
this issue, though and leaving it active (with an update in its description) in
case we do find some free time or someone else has an idea or wants to
implement it.
