SOCKS5 and proxy jumps are +not+ the same thing (we support both):
* SOCKS5 is an extra protocol that runs on top of an SSH session
* Proxy jumps are simply SSH tunnels that are automatically created from one
server to another.
As far as details are concerned I recommend Google-ing these terms
