Roberto, without a test case that shows me the problem I cannot discuss
possible fixes.
Where is it written that the combination of SSH_FXF_CREATE_TRUNCATE and
ACE4_APPEND_DATA were wrong? I can't find any such statement in the draft SFTP
RFCs.
If I understand your description correctly, you have
WinSCP--->Front-End(Server-Part)->Front-End(Client-Part)--->Back-End(Server-Part)->Disk
Front-End (both parts) and Back-End are implemented with Apache MINA sshd.
You wrote initially it worked if WinSCP contacted the Back-End server directly:
WinSCP--->Back-End(Server-Part)->Disk
So this works. I presume WinSCP opens the file also in the same way
(SSH_FXF_CREATE_TRUNCATE plus ACE4_APPEND_DATA|ACE4_ADD_DATA). Indeed if I do
that with an Apache MINA sshd client, it also works.
So I suspect the problem is in your front-end. It may be in some part of Apache
MINA sshd that is used in that front-end, or it may be in your code, or it may
be that your code uses the Apache MINA sshd library in a way we didn't foresee.
So I need a test front-end that works the way your real front-end works, a test
back-end, a test client that opens a file, and the whole combination must
reproduce the problem. Otherwise there is nothing I can do. So far all my
attempts to write such a test case have been unsuccessful: whatever I do, it
just works.
I see that you reported the problem against Apache MINA sshd 2.6.0. Maybe try
with version 2.7.0. Perhaps it's a problem that has been fixed in the meantime.
