BTW: instead of opening an issue for something like that you could also open a
pull request on Github with the implementation of the change and a commit
message explaining why the change was needed.
This is an open-source project maintained by volunteers; it's a community
effort that -- like virtually all open-source software -- does rely on users
contributing improvements, fixes, and new features. Especially commercial users
should not just consume open-source software but should actively participate in
making it better. One simply cannot rely on a handful of volunteers maintainers
to do it all.
