dgü commented on SSHD-1275:
---------------------------

Hello!

In my case, the remote process is a command line application waiting for its
commands to execute. It terminates if its EXIT command is sent or it's killed.

If close {{ChannelExec}} immediately, the remote application is not
terminated/died. I guess since it is never terminated, there is no exit value.

I can understand no exit value since it's not terminated. But, is it expected
behaviour not to terminate a remote process by
{{org.apache.sshd.client.channel.ChannelExec#close(true)}} ?

Thanks!

> Remote process is still available after
> ChannelExec.close(true).awaitUninterruptibly()

> Hello!
> If I close channel immediately by
> {{{}org.apache.sshd.client.channel.ChannelExec.close(true).awaitUninterruptibly(){}}},
> the remote process is not terminated and
> {{org.apache.sshd.client.channel.ChannelExec#getExitStatus()}} returns
> {{{}null{}}}.
> Even if I test with _Thread.sleep(60*1000)_ after channel close, the problem
> still happens. The problem doesn't happen when channel is closed gracefully.
> is this expected behaviour ?
>
> Thanks in advance!
