Never mind, got the same error.

In Java 17 a call to CharsetEncoder.encode() on an immutable buffer throws a CoderMalfunctionError, not a ReadOnlyBufferException.

The test has to be changed to reflect that. It does not change a thing for the release, it's still good to go.
