Hi Gary,
this is sadly to the fact that a third party dependency (cglib) used by
an unmaintained Mock librairy (rmock) does not work with Java 17+ :-/

The only ways to get rid of this error are:
- either build with Java 11
- or we should get rid of Rmock.
I have started to use EasyMock instead in 2.2.X branch, but it's not easy.
