Hi Debo,

We have not yet a JIRA item about the road map for coming release.

For the IRC, I really love the IRC but I found the Slack could be a attractive
alternative for us to discuss anything about Mnemonic project with the
following add-on features.

* The ability to directly send files and images to channels is an objective
benefit Slack has over IRC, which has even less ability to do that than MIME
email (at least MIME lets you post the base64'd file contents of your image,
rather than just a clickable link).

* The ability to send long messages or whole source files is an objective
benefit Slack has over IRC.

* The ability to, by default and without running a secondary service that can
crash or lose connectivity, log and search channels is an objective Benefit
Slack has over IRC, which can support that feature only by using bots, and only
by tunneling results through privmsgs or forcing users to leave the IRC
protocol itself and visit ancillary web sites.

* The ability to edit and delete messages is an objective benefit Slack has
over IRC.

The downsides are :
* Slack belongs to a company
* Slack is not totally free, the free plan has

  * Searchable message archives, up to 10k of your team’s most recent messages
  * 10 apps or service integrations
  * Native apps for iOS, Android, Mac & Windows Desktop
  * Two-person voice and video calls
  * 5GB total file storage for the team
  * Two-factor authentication

so if those downsides are not acceptable or favorable, there is a alternative
choice that is Rocket.chat.
https://rocket.chat
It is totally free and an open source Slack alternative with additional features

  * Audio and Video Conference
  * Built-in Live-chat for Websites
  * Federation
  * Screen-Sharing
  * Self-Registration
  * Theming and Branding

  * No limitation for searching, file storage and so on if self-host it.

Regarding the summary of meetings, My 2 cents, we could post it on dev@list
instead. because I think JIRA looks more friendly to discuss something specific
to the ticket.

Thanks.
Very truly yours.
