If you don't need .git in the tarball. you migit be better to use "git-archive".
This step is just one example.
I understand that you say about the things. I think that moblin doesn't have
a policy on RPM. So I think discuss about it.
As you say, $dist is required. I'll fix it. And currently tarball is old
on build-results. the final step we must show on webpage.

Also, perhaps you should recommend using a different version number: if
everybody names the tarball 0.45, it will be hard to tell what they
really have in their 0.45 RPM. I would personally recommend
downloading .tar.gz from moblin at least, and RPMs from $distro.
