Neither of those applications use gstreamer, but instead just directly write to 
the alsa audio device.

You can setup your alsa configuration to default to the Bluetooth device by 
modifying (or creating a) ~/.asoundrc.

IIRC, something like the following will work:

pcm.!default {
    type bluetooth
    Profile "auto"
}

... but I do not have my system setup to use Bluetooth in front of me, so that 
might not be exactly correct.

But I still can not make midbrowser + flash work with BT headphone.
