Hi Alain, You can follow our boot performance progress via the "Ubuntu Boot" team mailing list. You can join the team here: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-boot We are *extremely* driven to improve the overall boot time in Jaunty across all hardware types, i.e. netbooks, laptops, desktops, etc., and I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the performance of the final product.
