Subject: [Moblin Dev] ASUS Eee PC 901

Hi list

I have just installed Moblin on this new netbook because the Test drive
webpage includes this model as a 'tested platform'.

Hoping to take this netbook on a trip in a few days I need some help to
complete several tasks I have found impossible to complete and hope
someone out there will be able to help me.

1. Bluetooth. The Network Connection Preferences screen shows
Bluetooth as "Not Connected' but I cannot find any help in hot to
connect it.
1a. Also, there is no -obvious- reference to 802.11. How will I connect
to WiFi hot spots, for example ?

2. Firefox works OK but I don't see how I can install/use Thunderbird.
In the Xfce Settings Manager>Preferred Applications screen the Internet
tab names Thunderbird as 'The preferred mail reader (which) will be used
to compose emails when you click on an email address'.

3. To play mp3 files, Movie PLayer '..requires a MPEG-1 layer 3 (mp3)
decoder plugin which is not installed'.
How do I instal this ? Edit>Plugins opens the Configure Plugins screen
but any attempt results in 'Unable to activate plugin downloader'

Any guiding hand will be much appreciated. Btw, I use Ubuntu on my desktop

Franz
