I checked the bootchart and found the disk throughput is better than alpha1,
however adding gdm seems make boottime longer.
I also observed that there are a few seconds with blackscreen ( the
pointers changes to a watch icon ) before desktop UI shows up. ( I
don't have this issue in alpha1)
we added KMS to the alpha 2, but spent all our time getting it stable,
not on getting it fast. In the last week I shaved quite a bit of time off it,
so it should be a ton faster again now....
(and the black screen should be gone)
