David, would you please attach your script so that we know when you start the samba service? since it can be started manually, you may need to check the execution order of your script. FYI.

And then I installed the samba package and set the samba service running level 3, 4, 5 as on. However, the samba service can't be booted successfully during system startup. The error message as following: smbd version 3.3.0-0.1.moblin started. Copyright Andrew Tridgell and the Samba Team 1992-2009 [2009/05/25 04:35:26, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_connect(103) Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost:631 - Network is unreachable [2009/05/25 04:35:26, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_connect(103) Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost:631 - Network is unreachable [2009/05/25 04:35:26, 0] lib/interface.c:load_interfaces(520) ERROR: Could not determine network interfaces, you must use a interfaces config line In addition, when I attempted to start up the samba service by manual, the samba service can be started up properly. Thanks for your help in advance!
