Are you using Ubuntu's grub bootloader? If you are then add in to your menu.lst file:
title Moblin (2.6.29.3-13.1.moblin2-netbook) root (hd0,8) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.29.3-13.1.moblin2-netbook ro root=/dev/sda9 savedefault boot Where hd0,8 is your partition, same for /dev/sda9.
