Thanks for the clarification - I was running MIC2 on a P4 and came across the same "illegal instruction" error.
Moblin team: could you update the MIC2 requirements page to include an SSE3 capable processor so others don't waste time tracking down the cause of a image create failure as Pavel and I did.
