There is a plan for i18n and l10n of moblin. Transifex is indeed a tool that is being looked at.

The issue is to have a L10n project so that translators can help translating the packages and find I18n issues/bugs. You may want to consider Transifex as a way to minimize issuing git translator accounts for each translation team.
