Note that because of the heavy dependance of the UX bits on OpenGL, the
vmware image is almost useless now, since vmware (unless you play a lot
of games getting vmgl set up - might help, I have no experience with
that), since current vmwares don't support opengl passthrough to more
than a few specialized graphics cards, none of which are the set
supported by current Moblin, so it's all done in software and really,
really slow.
Maybe someday vmware will catch up, and then again, maybe it's not
interesting enough at the moment.
