I do not know where you got the midinux sdk or what version it is, but in the Midinux SDK for Moblin 1.0, once you unzipped the tarball, you had to
1. sudo mount --bind /proc /<path to virbuild>/proc 2. sudo mount --bind /sys /<path to virbuild>/sys 3. sudo mount --bind /dev /<path to virbuild>/dev 4. sudo mount --bind /dev/pts /<path to virbuild>/dev/pts chroot into the virbuild directory Then, as I recall, there is a script that starts an xnest session.
