Well, I did do that after no kernel files where installed from the yum
upgrade. That's probably where the grubby errors came from so. I've
had to manually get the 2.6.30.2-4.1 kernel setup though, as I was
still using the 2.6.30.1-6 kernel after the yum upgrade and reboot,
with no new kernel files in /boot.
This isn't a very useful bug report, sorry.

Hey Guys,
I did a yum upgrade of my 07/21 install to pull down the latest and
greatest from the development mirrors but there's a problem with
the kernel rpm's post scripts. The rpm installs, but then grubby
gives some fatal errors about not being able to find a suitable
template and stops writing a new config.
Is this a known issue ?
can you explain how you upgraded?
I hope you did not do rpm -iU ...
(because rpm -U on a kernel does not work; the erase of the rpm will
remove the grub config file, so that the next install no longer has
an example it can copy)
