Did you try the moblin USB in other machine?
You need to check out if your live USB is workable.

Terry, can you try to append "single" in the grub boot menu, and see
whether it can boot to the console? If you can get into console mode,
you
may attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log for investigation. Thanks.
