I can get the IEGD 10.2 drivers to work fine on my Dell Mini 10 (not 10v) under an install based on moblin-ivi-gnome-20090819-001.img. However, I cannot get X to work for more than a few seconds without crashing on an install based on moblin-2.1-final-20091103-002.img. [The problem may be the version of the X server. I have used the 1.6.3 binaries but moblin-2.1-final-20091103-002.img uses version 1.6.4 of the X server. I haven't had time to investigate fully but a few observations follow that may have some relevance. On the IVI install I have to boot to a prompt and then do a "startx" - the uxlaunch just results in a screen that is blank other than a cursor. Strangely, X was working to some extent until I changed the display resolution from the settings UI to match the 1366x768 of my LCD. It then became really unstable.] [Just in case it is of interest to anyone, I see a four-fold improvement in performance (as measured using glxgears framerates) when the hardware acceleration is enabled on the IVI installation. An OpenGL version of Quake also runs rather well!] Cheers, Sean _ __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4635 (20091125) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com _______________________________________________ Moblin dev Mailing List [email protected] To manage or unsubscribe from this mailing list visit: http://lists.moblin.org/listinfo/dev or your user account on http://moblin.org once logged in.
