I'll check and let you know.. alternatively I can also try a couple of other
wi-fi cards I have here.. maybe they will be recognized out of the box.. I
did switch to the dell 1400 (broadcom) to get full compatibility with osx..
it is probably time to get rid of these closed hw/os stuff and come back to
the open source world.. much better from all the points of view..

what's surprises me is that when moblin was running from the sdhc it was
working fine.. maybe I'll also try to reinstall again from scratch trying to
follow all the same exact steps I did before and see if I can fix it..

ps: I did not think the broadcom card was proprietary as I thought the
driver that can be found here:
http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
..was the free source for all linux users using those cards!
