Hi Vandana,
Even if you're not seeing the grub menu to select the OS/kernel, the grub.conf
file definitely still gets read.

It is, in fact, the grub.conf settings that are directing the system to not
show the menu, but just boot Moblin directly. You should still be able to
update the kernel command line in grub.conf with the switches that you use on
Fedora and get the same behavior.
As an alternative, you can press the Esc button as the system is starting up
and it will cause the Grub menu to be displayed; from there you can edit the
kernel command line for a single boot if you just wants to test something out.

Hope this help.

Ishu

Subject: [Moblin Dev] Enabling Frame buffer in moblin2 ivi image.

Hi,

Can anyone suggest how to bring up the frame buffer for moblin kernel
having the version 2.6.31.rc6-67.1.moblin2-ivi. I was able to enable the
frame buffer for linux(fedora9) by adding vga value to the grub
bootloader, but since moblin is booting directly from the moblin2 ivi
image, the grub.conf file is disabled, so can anyone suggest how to enable
the frame buffer on moblin2 and what drivers need to be installed for
this?

Vandana
