Hello I have build the src rpm via rpmbuild -bb kernel-2.6.31.1.moblin2.src.rpm( from Moblin-ivi 2.1 release), which created the BUILD dir.
I have /lib/modules/2.6.31.1.moblin2-ivi/build->/home/genivi/rpmbuild/BUILD/ke rnel-2.6.31/linux-2.6.31 /usr/src/linux-2.6.31.6-36.1.moblin2-ivi -> /home/genivi/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-2.6.31/linux-2.6.31 Then successfully installed vtune9.1u7. I want to profile dbus, when I drill down into the hotspot I see libdbus-1.so.3.4.0 unresolved address as Vtune cannot locate /boot/vmlinux-2.6.31. When I try to build it : Cp /boot/config-2.6.31 to /usr/src/ linux-2.6.31.6-36.1.moblin2-ivi Make oldconfig # make vmlinux CHK include/linux/version.h CHK include/linux/utsrelease.h SYMLINK include/asm -> include/asm-x86 CALL scripts/checksyscalls.sh CHK include/linux/compile.h AS arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.o arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S: Assembler messages: arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S:320: Error: no such instruction: `align' arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S:1211: Error: no such instruction: `align' arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S:1215: Error: no such instruction: `align' if I try make vmlinux ARCH=x86 make vmlinux ARCH=x86 scripts/kconfig/conf -s arch/x86/Kconfig CHK include/linux/version.h CHK include/linux/utsrelease.h SYMLINK include/asm -> include/asm-x86 CALL scripts/checksyscalls.sh MKELF scripts/mod/elfconfig.h HOSTCC scripts/mod/file2alias.o HOSTCC scripts/mod/modpost.o HOSTCC scripts/mod/sumversion.o HOSTLD scripts/mod/modpost CHK include/linux/compile.h AS arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.o arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S: Assembler messages: arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S:320: Error: no such instruction: `align' Has anyone see this before. Thanks.
