I've been trying unsuccessfully for two days to connect my dell
inspiron 10n with moblin ubuntu remix 9.10 to a wireless network with
WEP 128-bit passphrase authentication.

It turns out that there's a package that could work called
network-manager-netbook. I found it mentioned in a chat transcript:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MeetingLogs/openweekKarmic/MoblinRemix

It's located in this unsupported repository:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~moblin/+archive/ppa/

When I try to install it, however, I get the following error:
$ sudo apt-get install network-manager-netbook
