I decieded to copy the format of the plugin of version 1, I think that in a future there can be improvements, but this provides the same functionallity to m1 users of this plugin.
I hope you find the plugin good enough, and I hope too that this helps a little on migrating all m1 plugins to m2.
for the record, the plugin was submitted at issue: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MOJO-236

Miguel,
I agree with you that the Maven 2 plugin landscape would do well to be
as thorough as possible in supporting the tools which are out there. And
I cannot pretend to know the criteria for including or excluding a
plugin, especially given how many plugins the maven 1 project includes.
If you would, please review the code to make sure it follows the
development guidelines layed out on the mojo and sites. Then submit a
JIRA ticket:
http://mojo.codehaus.org/development/submitting-a-plugin.html
http://maven.apache.org/developers/code-style.html
We'll get it committed to the sandbox and snapshot repository. Thanks
for your contribution.
