You will probably want to deploy both your site and your artifact.

mvn deploy
mvn site site:deploy

For these operations to work. you will need to have:
- a correct pom
- a correct settings.xml (where credentials are stored)

General information on setting this up, you will find at in the mini guides.
For the exact name of the servers you need in settings.xml you can
look at what maven does when deploying (mvn -X is your friend), or
look at the parent poms:

https://svn.mojo.codehaus.org/mojo/trunk/mojo/mojo-sandbox/pom.xml
https://svn.mojo.codehaus.org/mojo/trunk/mojo/pom.xml

Your plugin should inherit from them, so your settings.xml should
contain a <server> entry with the following ids:

- mojo.website for site deployment on beaver
- snapshots for snapshot deployment
- repo1 for release deployment (if you plan to release a non snapshot artifact).

Better to put all of these.

By default the url are scp://, so you will need to write your key
information in your settings.xml (and maybe the key path). I
personally prefer the scpexe protocl. (I started a thread on that in
this list a couple of days ago).

http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-deploy-ssh-external.html
(that's for scpexe)

Hope that helped,

Vi sees,

Jerome
