Debugging into Project containing child modules does not fully work

I have a project/parent POM which has a number of modules. When I start
debugging into one module, the stepping into, over and out works on the first
debug statement, however stepping into does NOT work on any subsequent lines.
If break points are explicitly set in methods within classes in modules, the
break points ARE hit, it's just the fact that one cannot step into code from
the IDE when a break point is hit.
